Question by Scatta: Why do “some” men think that positive feelings, like fun, feeling relaxed, etc. are not emotions?
What is so hard to understand about having fun with your male friends is all about sharing emotion? “Happy” is an emotion. Feeling like you “belong” when you are with your male buddies is EMOTION. Passion about a football or baseball game is EMOTION. Connecting with your male friends is EMOTION. When your male friend blows you off and doesn’t invite you to a game or concert and you are pissed that is called EMOTION. And so is frustration, anger, rage, feeling stressed. All EMOTIONS. Elation is an EMOTION as well. Why do so many men not get this, and actually only think that they share “emotions” with their female mate? Did someone tell them wrong when they were children???

Question by randyken: Do we truly have “minds” and “emotions”?
in context that I think most of us have come to associate with both terms? Minds are self-aware. Emotions are uncontrollable (in terms of their onset) reactions to outside stimuli. Are these human conditions of existence or will science eventually stamp them out as merely chemical reactions brought on by a particular genetic code common among humans?
