Whether you’re a high school graduate or a single mom revisiting college later down the road, you will need to learn tools for managing stress. Stress is a natural reaction your body has to a perceived danger or situation.

When you think that you’re doing more than you actually have the time, energy, or resources to accomplish, you become “stressed out.” This is the difference between stress that is manageable and stress that you need to ask for help.

Have you had trouble sleeping at night?

Do you find yourself worrying that you’re going to do badly on an assignment?

Have you ever “froze up” on an exam?

Are you missing classes?

Do you find yourself procrastinating on an assignment?

If you’ve answered yes to any of the following questions, you may be under an excessive amount of stress. When stress becomes more than you can handle, you may need to find ways to better organize your time.

Time management is the most effective way to relieve stress in your life. By organizing your time and keeping track of what you’re spending the most time on, you’ll be able to better evaluate what you need help with and even eliminate some of the stressors in your life.

Managing stress is easy with these steps:

Get an appointment book.

Focus on one task instead of switching around.

Take breaks. Live GUILT FREE. If you don’t make time for yourself, your stress could lead you down a road of depression and anxiety.

Prioritize things that are important to you.

Learn to say no. (I don’t mean to your homework assignments, necessarily.)

Put small chunks of time to work for you. Riding on the bus? Take a moment to read that chapter in PSY101 you still need to read.

The following tips are things to keep in mind for managing stress. Don’t forget to talk to someone if you feel like your stress is overwhelming your whole life.

Anxiety stress disorder is a phrase that can be used to describe various forms of irrational and unmerited worries, concerns and apprehensions a person may have.  It is estimated that almost 20% of the Unites States population may be impacted by at least one of these.  The terms used most often to categorize the various disorders are general anxiety disorder, panic disorder, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, post traumatic stress disorder and separation anxiety.

Most people are aware of the common symptoms of the various forms of anxiety stress disorder, but there are also lesser known, but equally important, issues that deserve further attention.

If you are suffering from an anxiety stress disorder and are also experiencing sexual performance issues there may be a correlation between the two.  People suffering from anxiety may find themselves shunning the sexual advances of their partner.  They may do so because as men they are suffering from some embarrassing issues with their sexual prowess or as women they are experiencing vaginal pain during intercourse.  Also, people who suffer from panic attacks may want to avoid sexual activity because they fear they may have an attack during sexual activity.  People who are suffering from post traumatic stress disorder may not be able to focus on sexual activities because of the images that run through their minds as a result of the upsetting event that is the source of their problem.   So, if you are suffering from stress and anxiety it will not be unusual for you to also be experiencing sexual performance side effects.

The Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine has conducted several studies that indicate there is a tie between anxiety stress disorder and balance control.  They use lots of medical terminology like parabrachial nucleus, amygdaloid nucleus and other similarly unrecognizable terms that are too much for those of us who don’t have a medical background to fully understand.   However, it is clear they have determined there is a relationship between the two.  I found their studies very interesting as I have frequent balance issues I have found difficult to explain.  Perhaps they are related to my anxiety issues.

Almost 2/3rds of the people who suffer with anxiety and stress disorders will also suffer from other types of disorders like clinical depression.  Clinical depression is defined as a medical illness that negatively impacts how a person feels, acts and thinks.  Unlike a normal person who may feel sad or depressed for a few days after a disappointing event in their lives, a clinically depressed person will have those feelings for extended periods.  Because a person may become overwhelmed with failing to cope with their anxiety and stress they may become depressed which left untreated may become clinical depression.

Finally, there is a direct correlation between certain substances and anxiety.  Prolonged alcohol use has been proven to increase anxiety and, conversely, eliminating alcohol use has been an effective measure to help people who are suffering from anxiety or panic attacks.  Also, extended exposure to organic solvents like varnishes, paints and glues can be a cause of anxiety issues.

The standard eyeglass prescription’s aim is to provide an individual 20/20 vision. This formula is based on an arbitrary measurement developed by Hermann Snellen in 1862 and is much too strong. For daily living and most tasks 20/thirty to twenty/fifty is sufficient. Automobile driver’s licenses legally require only twenty/40. Solely airline pilots need 20/20.

Here’s what you need to do. Schedule some time and lock yourself away for at least one hour. Somewhere quiet. Switch off the mobile phone, the television and devote this time to you.

You don’t need to sit cross-legged on the floor for this, but I want you to do some contemplation. Think about your everyday life. Run the video in your mind. Take yourself through a regular week. But pay attention to your feelings. Where does it grate?

What negative feelings do you have about any part of your regular schedule? What are the feelings? Why do you feel that way? Perhaps a job that you loved 5 years ago is now just a 9-to-5 grind. Why? What happened?

Write it down. All your thoughts. Try to identify where in your life you are stressed and why. Then I want you to keep a diary for the next week. If you think about this period of contemplation often, during the next week, I will guarantee you will find a lot more issues or problems. Write them in your diary.

By the end of the week you should have a comprehensive list of your stressors or pressure points.

You may also find a combination of circumstances pushing the boundaries on your natural coping skills. And don’t forget that recent house move or job redundancy.

Calculate your stress levels

Here is a test to determine how stressed you are. In the past 12-24 months, which of the following major life events have taken place in your life?

· Death of a spouse
· Divorce
· Marital separation
· Jail term
· Death of a close family member
· Personal injury or illness
· Marriage
· Fired from work
· Marital reconciliation
· Retirement
· Change in a family member’s health
· Pregnancy
· Sexual difficulties
· Addition to the family
· Business changes
· Change in finances
· Death of a close friend
· Changing jobs
· Increase in number of marital arguments
· Taking out a large mortgage or loan
· Foreclosure of a mortgage or loan
· Changes in work responsibilities
· Trouble with the in-laws
· Outstanding personal achievement
· Spouse begins or stops work
· Starting or finishing school
· Changes in living conditions
· Changes in personal habits
· Trouble with the boss
· Changes in working hours and conditions
· Moving house
· Moving school
· Changing recreational habits
· Changing church activities
· Changing social activities
· Changing sleeping habits
· Less family gatherings
· Change of eating habits
· A Vacation
· Christmas period
· Minor violations of the law

These changes are ranked in order of impact on your life. How many of these did you tick? The more you ticked, particularly from the top of the list, the more stressed you are.

Now that you know where your stress is coming from, it’s time to find some solutions. And there are many to choose from. The trick is to find techniques and strategies to suit you.

Now that you’ve started thinking about it, don’t stop. Resolve to find and and try one new technique every week.

Stress Types – Good Stress vs. Bad Stress

Stress was created to help the human body get through life’s turbulence. When danger is sensed, the body’s natural “fight or flight” response kicks in, as a way to prepare itself for battle. How To Deal With The Stress, Insecurity And Anxiety Caused By A Small Penis

A small penis is a curse for men. Although one could argue that other physical problems, such as not growing tall enough or a receding hairline, are just as bad, there are few things that can make a man shy away from physical intimacy like a small penis. Such men are not afraid of being rejected out of hand by women; they are actually afraid of being accepted because rejection is likely to be waiting down the line.
